Randall V. Querry
Bio: Randall Querry currently serves as the Accreditation Manager, Clinical with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) and has been employed with them since 1998. In his current role, he directs the daily accreditation operations for clinical areas of accreditation. He is also responsible for overseeing the accreditation services officers responsible for laboratories in the clinical areas. Querry has conducted management system assessments to ISO 15189:2012, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ISO Guide 34:2009 and has evaluated other assessors in this role. He also performs peer evaluations of accrediting bodies to ISO/IEC 17011. He has served as an instructor, providing training in accreditation requirements to attendees who included: technical assessors, international accreditation body staff, quality managers, and technical managers from current and potential applicants for accreditation. Querry worked as a QA inspector for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland from June 1990 to May 1994 where he conducted over 100 laboratory inspections throughout the United States. He has also been employed in the environmental consulting field, performing environmental site assessments. Querry holds a bachelor’s degree in geo-environmental studies from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. In March 1999, he achieved lead assessor registration and in October 2005, he successfully completed training as an International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Peer Evaluator and has since completed six international peer evaluations, including one where he led the evaluation team.
