Tharana Maran
Bio: Tharana Maran has been at the Mayo Clinic since February 2016. She started in the Department of Management Engineering and Internal Consulting, Mayo Clinic’s internal consulting group as an Associate Health Systems Engineer before transitioning to a Health Systems Engineer role in February 2017. During this time, she has supported the Research shield of Mayo Clinic and specifically the Center for Individualized Medicine and the Bio-specimen Accessioning and Processing Lab. Tharana has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy in India and a Master of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a specialization in Healthcare Systems Engineering. During her time in Madison, she worked as part of the Quality, Safety and Innovation Lab at UW Health Hospitals and Clinics where she successfully carried out a number of quality and process improvement projects.
