Jonathan Tan
Bio: Jonathan got his formal education in the Philippines, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and Doctor of Medicine. He and his family migrated to the United States in 2007 where he joined Columbus Regional Health as a night shift generalist. After 8 years, he decided to advance his career and took the role of Laboratory Chemistry Supervisor in 2016. Throughout his journey in the laboratory field, he has always given his best and committed to the highest standards to benefit not just the patients but his team. His willing-to-learn, think outside the box attitude, and ability to work as a team player has helped him to be highly effective in this field. With his current role, he had the opportunity to mentor as well as bring in new tests and instrumentations. He created new workflow and standard processes that had been beneficial to the growth of the department. Jonathan was a recipient of Columbus Indiana’s 2009 20 under 40 award and was presented with CRH’s “Quality and Safety Achievement” award in 2018 as part of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Team.
