Julie Cooper
Bio: Julie Cooper is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of healthcare experience, including more than 14 years in healthcare leadership. She holds a master’s degree in the Human Services field and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Her skill set is built upon a diverse healthcare background spanning corporate, business, and daily operations and has included responsibilities in clinical work, learning and organizational development, and process improvement. She currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Business Operations for Laboratory Services with Atrium Health located in Charlotte, NC. In this capacity, she serves over 120 teammates and has responsibility for Anatomic Pathology, multiple Patient Service Centers serving the Atrium Health outreach market, the Client Services Call Center and Account Executive Team, and the Billing and Charge Master functions. She is a graduate of Atrium Health’s Inaugural Lean Leadership Development Program where she was immersed for one year in the daily operations of the Performance Excellence Center. She credits the Leader and Lean Sensei’s, Managers, and Practioners of that department for igniting in her a passion for process improvement, and for challenging and equipping her to return to operations with the skills to build a Lean Management System to support and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
