Maureen Harte
Bio: Maureen Harte has a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from Utah State University, is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Certified Myers Briggs Personality Type Instructor, and Associate Professor with the University of Utah School of Business Executive Education department. After working for 10 years in the clinical laboratory, Maureen began working with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics and was one of the founding members of the ValuMetrix Services Group. She spent 11 years training and mentoring Lean Six Sigma projects and working with clients to implement Lean. This resulted in greater than $40 million in savings to those organizations. Maureen also has an expertise in value marketing, using the principles and tools of Lean and Six Sigma to identify and quantify product value providing competitive advantage. She enjoys training and coaching groups through Myers Briggs Personality Type assessments and workshops leading to increased productivity and organizational communication. Maureen formed HartePro Consulting in 2011 with a goal to broaden the reach of Lean Six Sigma, making it accessible to all industries, facilities of all sizes, and people of all skill levels. She has kept her clinical laboratory expertise while expanding her proficiency to LIMS and bio science companies, as well as laboratories conducting genetic seed testing, food pathogen testing, anatomic pathology, human genetics, and forensics testing. She is published in Food Safety Magazine online, detailing a study with an innovative application of the failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), an important tool within the Lean Six Sigma roadmap.
