Pam Carter

Bio: Pam Carter is the Director of Laboratory Services for Marshfield Labs, a service of Marshfield Clinic Health System, Inc. Marshfield Labs is an integrated laboratory network of outpatient clinics and regional hospital systems across northern Wisconsin, served by a regional reference lab in Marshfield, WI. It also provides laboratory services to veterinary practices nationwide, and supports niche-based industry/research services for both human and veterinary clients.

During her tenure, Carter has facilitated the integration of over 50 clinics and various hospital models, standardizing equipment, test menus, LIS systems, and staffing resources. Under her guidance, the regional reference lab has recently completed the installation of Cerner’s Labotix automation line, is in the midst of a Lean transformation focused on esoteric testing services, and is embarking on a major system LIS conversion to Orchard Sequoia.

Carter holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan Technological University.
